Molly has also played at Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Evolve Festival, PEI Confederation Celebration 2014, Maritime Music Festival, and Halifax Pride.
Molly has had multiple nominations for Music Nova Scotia and East Coast Music Awards, and has achieved finalist slots in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the International Song Contest. She won Young Performer of the Year at the 2011 Canadian Folk Music Awards, the “She’s the One” competition at the 2012 Ottawa Bluesfest, and the Emerging Artist Series at Summerfest in Milwaukee in 2013. Molly was also named one of Canada’s Top 20 Under 20 by Youth In Motion for her work as a human rights activist.

Videos
Molly in a Cineplex interview, as well as several of her music videos
Entering Grade 9 at Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Molly Thomason found something missing: a support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) youth. As had been the case for about 20 years, Molly’s attempts to create a Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) were turned down. Finally, she was successful and the GSA started in January, with Molly proud to be is its first president.
Growing up, Molly listened to Cliff Richard, Elvis and Bob Dylan and a lot of music by Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry, favourites of her father, Festival Antigonish artistic producer Ed Thomason. And she and her friends, “bored in a small town because there is not a lot to do,” would hang out at Columbus Field, on the campus of St. Francis Xavier University. “It’s where all the shenanigans went down. The stories that inspired the songs went down there.”

Requirements
Bidders on this reward must be able to get themselves to downtown Toronto.
Experience
Chill or jam with Molly
Interested in music? Ask Molly in person how she got into it at such a young age. Feel free to bring your instrument and show Molly what you're working on. Or, if you're not musical, simply chat with Molly about what life is like as a musician. If you're lucky, maybe she'll play you something she's working on... ask nicely though :) Bidders on this reward must be able to get themselves to downtown Toronto.
