Rahul is named by GOOD magazine as 1 of 100 people pushing the world forward and is an avid philanthropist that loves to give back.
Rahul unlocks the potential of brands to better the world and the bottom line by building winning brands. As the VP of Marketing at ecobee, he leads a team to drive the consumer adoption of technologies that save money and the planet. This builds on a foundation of successful turnarounds and innovation pipelines that he has developed for some of the world's most iconic brands including Coca-Cola, Purina, Bounty, Nutella, Tic Tac, Lifesavers and Coffee-mate.
Rahul is offering two rewards with this auction - both of which allow you to get up close and personal with someone on the forefront of social innovation.
2.7 million Canadians will experience household food insecurity at some point this year.
Rahul is also a serial innovator. Prior to ecobee, he was the Director of Sustainability + Merchandising Innovation at Walmart.com. There, he incubated new revenue streams to deliver economic and social impact. For these efforts, he was honored with Walmart's Innovation Champion Award, a fellowship with the Aspen Institute and by GOOD magazine as 1 of 100 people pushing the world forward in 2013.
In 2002, Rahul founded and developed Meal Exchange, mobilizing 87,000 students to address local hunger. The non-profit organization has raised over $3M to feed those in need, and been recognized by TIME magazine as "revolutionary".
As you can tell, Rahul is passionate about his work. He derives great joy from engaging teams to solve complex problems, and is regularly invited to speak about his expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability and purpose-driven careers.
Bidders must be able to get to Toronto on their own in order to receive their reward.
