— Stephen Lake (@srlake) June 14, 2014
Stephen Lake gives people superpowers through the Myo armband, which measures electrical activity in muscles to wirelessly control devices.
Stephen Lake was named one of Canada's Top 20 under 20 in 2007 and one of the Next 36 entrepreneurial leaders of Canada in 2011. He has a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where he studied as a Loran Scholar, a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of Toronto, and has studied as a visiting scholar at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). He was an entrepreneur from a young age, and considers Myo the latest addition to years and years of building things.
Videos
The first video is a promotional video of the Myo. The second is a demo of the Myo Armband on CTV National News.
Stephen is an entrepreneur and engineer from Toronto, Canada. He has worked in aerospace, space and medical fields at organizations such as the Canadian Space Agency, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), and the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR – German Aerospace Center) on high technology projects.
Stephen is a natural leader and problem solver who thrives in challenging environments. His interest is in bringing new technologies and big ideas from concept to fruition. He thrives on challenges and live by the adage, "go big or go home."

Requirements
Bidders on this auction must be able to get themselves to the Thalmic Labs office in Kitchener, Ontario, in order to receive their reward.
Experience
Grab lunch with Stephen, then tour Thalmic Labs and play with the Myo
Ever wondered how Stephen got the idea to remotely control things with his arm? Or how he decided to not take a job upon graduation and start his own business? Feel free to ask him these questions and more at this group lunch session with him and up to two other bidders. Afterwards, you will get to tour Thalmic's offices and play with the Myo yourself!
