How Time Auction works

1. Earn Karma

Donating and logging past volunteer hours earns you Karma Points, which you can then use to bid on auctions. $1 donated earns 1 Karma Point and 1 hour volunteered earns 10 Karma Points.

2. Bid

Bid your Karma Points to meet inspiring people, such as humanitarians, entrepreneurs, athletes, or artists. Most auctions allow every bidder to win if the goal is reached.

3. Meet

Time Auction is all about priceless experiences and rewards for the priceless philanthropy you do. Depending on the auction, meetings are done virtually or in person... or both!

Watch a Canucks game with Victor

Get to know Victor while cheering on our very own Vancouver Canucks! The game is on Mar. 3, 2015 versus the San Jose Sharks. You'll be enjoying the game and the company of Victor and up to two other Sauder alumni. Feel free to ask Victor about his career, his favourite part about his job, or when (not if) the Canucks will win the Stanley Cup!

Victor de Bonis is the COO of the Canucks and an Alternate Governor for the NHL. He was also the CFO during the Grizzlies sale transaction.

Victor de Bonis is the Chief Operating Officer for Canucks Sports and Entertainment (CSE), and an Alternate Governor for the NHL. Working in partnership with President of Hockey Operations Trevor Linden, Victor has primary responsibility over all facets of business operations and directs the Senior Leadership Team. CSE is considered one of the top sports and entertainment companies in North America, and employs more than 2,000 people.

Victor has supported some of the most significant corporate partnerships in club history, forging relationships with organizations to provide premium products and services for all events at Rogers Arena and programs associated with CSE. Through a variety of innovative programs, a new hospitality program and ongoing venue enhancements at Rogers Arena, he has focused company-wide measures toward enhancing fan experience.

Victor graduated from the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1989. He began his career at KPMG Chartered Accountants in the corporate audit division of the Vancouver branch. Victor served in this capacity for four years, auditing private and public companies in the Hospitality, Broadcasting, Mining, Healthcare and Manufacturing industries, before entering his final role with the organization: forensic accounting specialization. In 1992, he became a chartered accountant, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Victor was elected to the Fellowship of Chartered Accountants in 2012.

In 1998, Victor was appointed CFO, responsible for managing all business operations. He took on his current role in March 2007 and became an Alternate Governor of the NHL in 2010.
