Victor de Bonis is the COO of the Canucks and an Alternate Governor for the NHL. He was also the CFO during the Grizzlies sale transaction.

Victor de Bonis is the Chief Operating Officer for Canucks Sports and Entertainment (CSE), and an Alternate Governor for the NHL. Working in partnership with President of Hockey Operations Trevor Linden, Victor has primary responsibility over all facets of business operations and directs the Senior Leadership Team. CSE is considered one of the top sports and entertainment companies in North America, and employs more than 2,000 people.
Victor has supported some of the most significant corporate partnerships in club history, forging relationships with organizations to provide premium products and services for all events at Rogers Arena and programs associated with CSE. Through a variety of innovative programs, a new hospitality program and ongoing venue enhancements at Rogers Arena, he has focused company-wide measures toward enhancing fan experience.
Victor graduated from the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1989. He began his career at KPMG Chartered Accountants in the corporate audit division of the Vancouver branch. Victor served in this capacity for four years, auditing private and public companies in the Hospitality, Broadcasting, Mining, Healthcare and Manufacturing industries, before entering his final role with the organization: forensic accounting specialization. In 1992, he became a chartered accountant, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Victor was elected to the Fellowship of Chartered Accountants in 2012.

Victor first joined Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment (now CSE) in 1994 as its Corporate Controller. In this role, he became a key member of the group that developed and implemented new business strategies for Rogers Arena, as well as for the organization’s NHL and NBA franchises. He was also responsible for managing the public company’s private placement and for its new 18,000-seat multi-purpose arena in downtown Vancouver. In 1998, Victor was appointed CFO, responsible for managing all business operations. He took on his current role in March 2007 and became an Alternate Governor of the NHL in 2010.
In addition to his professional activities, Victor is actively involved with family and community affairs. He currently serves as Vice President on the Canucks for Kids Fund Board and was recently named Director to the board of Special Olympics British Columbia. Victor and his wife, Mary, have three children.
